Candace Harms is the Co-Founder and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor of Butterfly Effect Counseling LLC. Candace believes in the art of therapy and utilizes a realm of therapeutic techniques and styles. She works to ensure that techniques utilized for each client are tailored to their specific needs and goals. Candace uses the client’s strengths to incorporate goal-directed therapeutic techniques as she believes each client has the resources within to change. As your counselor, she will meet you where you are emotionally and mentally and help you to identify your areas of weakness, strengths, and goals to overcome life’s obstacles and create a healthier you!
Through life’s transitions, social, environmental, and interpersonal factors play a role in how we respond to such changes or situations we may encounter in our lifetime. With therapy, you can find guidance, support, and solutions to overcome barriers and move to creating emotionally healthy behaviors and lifestyles. Just as “life is a journey, not a race,” so is therapy. By creating a collaborative environment between therapist and client, together we can identify appropriate coping skills and tools to work towards the client’s goals of creating a happier, healthier life.
Candace always has a good cup of coffee in hand and a smile on her face. She loves spending time with her support system and fur babies, Lily and Michel Angelo, who even like to visit clients during virtual sessions! In 2017, she moved from Delaware to South Carolina to be closer to the beach where she feels more at peace. Candace enjoys connecting with the community, getting lost in a good book, and spending most of her free time in nature. She looks forward to getting to know others and creating new connections!
