Originally from Rochester, NY, Novera received her master’s in mental health counseling from the University of Rochester Warner School of Education in 2022. She currently holds an LPC-A with South Carolina and an MHC-P with New York. She believes that you are the author of your own life story, and you understand your experiences the best. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes individuality, recognizing that our past shapes our present. She encourages clients to explore their histories to better understand how past experiences influence their mental well-being today.
Her therapy process begins with building a strong, trusting relationship where you feel comfortable. From there, we collaborate to find what works best for your lifestyle—whether it’s developing daily coping strategies or addressing past experiences for deeper healing. She believes in letting my clients take the lead, tailoring sessions to their unique needs using talk therapy, mindfulness, art, games, or other methods.
As a first-generation Pakistani-American Muslim, she understands the complexities of balancing cultural identity while navigating life’s challenges. She is fluent in Urdu. She is committed to creating a supportive space for clients from diverse backgrounds. In her free time, she enjoys making memories with her loved ones, experiencing new things, scrapbooking, home decor, traveling, and a good movie (especially Bollywood).
